Ebay should not be able to charge FVF on postage, this is not right.

In my view eBay is forcing me to be dishonest. Free Postage is not fact, it is a dishonest statement and description. Including Postage would be correct and accurate Why do I say dishonest I sell an item for £6.95 plus £3.70 postage and that is the actual cost of postage – 2nd Class Small Packet, Signed For Mail Now for £6.95 I can post up to three of the item so with combined postage the cost is £20.85 plus £3.70 = Total £24.55 Your Customer Support that I spoke to on the phone says that I should selling price £10.65 with “Free Postage” so the Buyer would now pay £31.95 for three items. Great for me as I now make £7.40 profit, but that in my view is not being honest. Your Customer Support also tells me that this overcomes the problem that when I post Internationally where postage costs £11.70 as opposed to £3.70 that I now have the local cost of postage in hand to pay the extra FVF postage fee. Great for me but again not honest. So in my view eBay is forcing me to be dishonest by forcing me to use “Free Postage” to mask the problem now created by FVF on International Postage. I understand the reason for the FVF on postage for local Buyers, but I do not understand why eBay penalises me for International Postage and forces me to be dishonest. Particularly as for all the time that I have sold on eBay, eBay has been trying to encourage if not force Sellers to be honest in terms of selling prices and postage charges which was one of the reasons for the DSR system.

I really would like to know the actual legalities for the charge. Just one word that explains this, extortion.

This new policy is outrageously filling up your own pockets. We want to pay the FVF on the item sale price as was before September 4th 201.

Its a disgrace and should not be allowed to continue. It is greedy. They were surely making enough money before otherwise they would not be so successful.

Outrageous, Ebay you're just taking the piss now! Stealing from everybody but even more so from people who live in the Highlands where there are no cheap postage options. Royal Mail have already doubled their prices recently so in effect with your added theiving the Postage prices have increased 120% I buy a lot though ebay but will be taking my business else where. Your are now taking three additional percentages of postage, paypal percentage, Ebay FVF percentage + paypal percentage on FVF. TAKE A HiKE!

10% ON FVF AND P&P IS OUTRAGEOUS! EBAY, WISE UP OR DIE! YOU WENT TOO FAR THIS TIME! TRIPLE DIPPING (INCLUDING PAYPAL FEES) IS IMMORAL.

This unfair hike is a step too far and I should think it borders on illegal!

This is surely illegal. Paypal is an Ebay company and you expect them to take a fee on the whole payment of a sale as they make it possible to accept international payments, this is a good service. But how can they also take 10% on a shipping price that has nothing to do with them, they are not providing any service what so ever and getting paid both ends. This is a scam and unless things change I will not be using Ebay, just on principle alone.

I think E-Bay should keep their money grabbing fingers out of the shipping costs. If there is an auction that has the import duties and shipping cost already built in then 99 times out of 100 I won't bid or Buy It Now and this is hurting the sellers. E-Bay is simply being greedy. Wouldn't it be great if all the sellers stopped selling for a week or all the buyers stopped buying for a week.

This is the worst thing that Ebay have EVER done. I have traded on here for over 8 years and this has single handedly ruined overseas trade for many sellers. It has also made sellers increase their domestic and overseas postage rates to compensate making the site a lot more expensive to buyers. I think this will be the year I end up leaving Ebay. I can no longer make a living on here and I refuse to sign up to the 'Freepost' con either.
