This is a nasty little move by Ebay. They don't care about the very people who made Ebay big in the first place, the private sellers who are just trying to make a few bob and recycle at the same time.
By the time we deduct all Ebay's fees, including this new 'tax', Paypal fees, ever increasing postage costs, what is the point of selling on Ebay?
What a shame, as it could signal the end of the (mostly wonderful) community of private buyers and sellers. What will that leave?.... sleazebay.

I was appalled when I discovered this in my October invoice. Postage is not free and never will be, so it is completely wrong to charge selling fees on postage costs. I believe eBay would like sellers to offer free postage on everything but doing so is a disincentive to buyers looking for a good deal on quantity purchases. It just means that now postage charges will have to be increased to cover this ludicrous fee!

Postage fees are paid by buyers only, sellers shouldn't pay a fee to Ebay!

I sold 5 wooden bowls last week for £7.49. Ebay charged me £2.01 This is over 25% and it is extortionate. They have priced themselves out and I have just ended ALL my listings, around 30 I think.
