Currently sell stuff on ebay.However I'm finding it increasingly difficult to maintain a decent level of profit due to the high fees.

I've been loosing money without knowing it, how can ebay justify this? To recoup their greediness we need to add 11% to our actual postage costs.... and the customer pays from now on. Can we be competitive?

its a disgusting abuse of trust.
they want us to ship as cheap;y as possible ,and then charge us for the privilage .Occasionally I have had to ship heavy games to ROW - some cost |£30 JUST TO SHIP - how can ebay justify charging me for the choice my buyer makes in its method of delivery ?? ludicrous , insane , underhanded; defrauding their own customers to line their own pockets YET AGAIN

If ebay charge 10% we need to pass the cost on to the buyer at at least 11%.
£1 p&p at 10% = 10p extra.
If we charge £1.10 ebay takes 10% so that's then 11p.
I'm still 1p out of pocket the buyer is 10p worse off for every £1 of postage FFS.

eBay should be ashamed of themselves. Even the greedy customs people here in Indonesia disregard the postage when charging duty.

Hi I see that you like me do not like the 10% fees on postage. I have asked ebay uk to justify this and this is the statement for them about a week ago.
STATEMENT. FROM EBAY UK
We are not charging for the postage service itself. We are charging a commission on the total cost the Buyer is paying the Seller for that transaction. It is split out between end price and postage as this is how the seller charges the buyer. Also, we can confirm that it is legal and eBay is doing nothing wrong.
I have been posting that statement on ebay uk face book site but am no longer able to, asking as many member to do the same so that more and more buyers become aware of this fact and maybe with there help it can be changed

just found out that Ebay are charging 10% on final value fee for postage!!
How on earth is that even legal?
postage costs are high enough with royal mail taking the pi$$! now we have to charge buyers even more on the postage.
it is getting embarrasing to sell a small £5 item weighing over 2kg when you have to charge £9 postage.
£8 med parcels (small is only up to 2 kg)+10% for ebay+20p for materials.
EVERYONE PLEASE.... share this petition on twitter/facebook lets get something done about this

Ebay IS a bully. They suddenly close my account without any reasoning and they claim that I have sold "something" illegal. Sorry Ebay, but that is bullshit! I did not sell anything, I only bidded on old macbook airs! Plus, why do I need to provide my SSN or ID to just bid? I haven't bought the Fking thing yet! I had an Ebay account before, but it got closed for the same lie! No money is refunded, nothing! They are scam artists luring people into their scam market so that they can randomly close accounts as they wish! If people JUST STOP SELLING, EBAY ITSELF WILL GO BROKE! PEOPLE, THE PROBLEM IS THAT WE ARE ALLOWING THE COMPANY TO GENERATE REVENUE. STOP BUYING AND SELLING ON EBAY! WE WILL NEVER WIN WITH CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS SINCE THEY BANNED THEM - THEY ARE COWARDS!!!
