Seems to be cuts everywhere but our council tax does not go down. Would like to know why we are paying so much for so little including merging our police force.

This is just a way to get a bigger police presence in lewisham and Greenwich at the expense of Bexley. Stop cutting the police force !

The Mayor obviously knows little of police work, administration nor moral. Perhaps he should look at reducing his own staff

I do not support the proposed merger of Bexley police with Lewisham and Greenwich

crime will increase if there are no police officers on hand in Bexley

We need our own Police Force otherwise crime will increase in the Borough. Police are always to be seen at Bexleyheath when schools are coming out. There is already difficulty getting police to visit when there have been burglaries. DDO NOT MERGE OUR POLICE WITH GREENWICH OR LEWISHAM !!!

its about time these cuts stopped, I can forsee that because the other 2 boroughs have a higher crime rate that anything happening in Bexley will take a back seat, not on, we pay our rates and taxes too, I'm will to bet that the same cuts are not taking place in Streatham

I am a retired police officer and I am disgusted that such a change can be considered. We need more localised policing not this. This appears to be a follow on from the successful petition to stop Bexleyheath Police Station being closed

Under Bexley Borough's Police Command Unit, crime in Bexley (which includes really poor areas like Thamesmead and Erith) is lower than in Lewisham and Greenwich. Bexley's Command Unit should remain to continue its good work. The merger will simply conceal the poorer crime statistics in Lewisham and Greenwich and divert attention away from dealing with the problems there.

Absolutely appalling. What is happening to our police.

Surely any borough needs its own Police Command Unit. Crime rates could rise in the borough if it is thought that there is less chance of being caught.

Burglaries are all increasing in Bexley this needs to stop

This an absolute No No. Stop this stupid merger.

This is wrong to merge these forces. We need quick action when we dial 999, not a response from outside the borough.
