Please no tax hike. It only went down federally and for Cook County to raise it would be unfair. We pay plenty of tax as it is. More than the rest of the country!!! (Or close to)

Waste, fraud and abuse are easy targets for places to cut. Too many jobs under the County are still overpaid patronage positions. Sales taxes are too regressive. Both people and small businesses are hurt by them.

Cook County Illinois is already one of the most expensive venues for businesses and is one of the few counties that do not have a tier system for doing business. In other words, small businesses have a very difficult time in staying in business.

Eliminate County government. It isn't needed. Failing that, cut spending to the bone. Privatize what you can, cut the rest.
