No one can tell me or my family what We can/cannot eat or punish us for it! Especially no New York politician who couldn't even get it passed in his own city.

I will be the one to decide what goes into my family's body as well as my own. I do not drink a lot of soda, but once in awhile enjoy flavored water and I have to pay a tax on that!!!! For our health, bull, is all about the money. In my line of work, I am at various courthouses in Cook County and have to wait in line and watch people just sitting at their desks, doing there nails or trying to look busy and when they do have to help they are so rude, get rid of some of that waste!!!!

Our foods have GMO and chemically processed. Anything to make a quick buck because our politician's do not know how to properly use tax dollars.

it is ridiculous how much they are charging for non-alcoholic beverages here in Illinois. Why don't they tax the alcohol beverages instead? It's not fair. We as consumers didn't create this mess they made of the budget, but we have to pay for it. This is so wrong. Maybe they can afford it, but I can't !

Every time we turn around we are taxed for something else. Start looking for ways to strip the fat, and there is plenty, in the county, city and state.

I think it is ridiculous to tax sugar! Cook county already has the highest taxes. They need to learn to budget their money instead of raising or adding taxes.

All of these tax increases will leave Cook County out and most likely will hurt them. This tax, Real Estate,Cell Phone, pretty soon they will probably tax the air we breathe.

This will drive business out of Cook County and will hurt the poorest people. I for one instead of going to Costco in North Riverside to buy pop will go to Costco in Oak Brook!

What else are they going to tax? We are the highest in the nation. Maybe they should cut their salaries and used that instead. What next?

This is a ridiculous tax which will only hurt the average consumer with a tremendous increase in our grocery bills. This must be stopped.
