As usual, the council is going for the cheapest easiest option in the short term and not thinking long term. Closing the junction will just move the problem somewhere else. I'm sure that a solution could be found that keeps the junction open while making it safer. If lives were really important, cost wouldn't be an issue.

Closing this junction is a ridiculous idea...it will just shift the problem and cause difficulties elsewhere!

Even at 6pm this junction is safe. It will cause more problems if it is closed

If the council bothered tI cut the grass the.junction would be perfectly fine I use it everyday coming home from work and dont see how it's any more dangerous than the junction further down the road at Rainton!
