Shows nothing but disrespect for the residents of Newbottle. There is clearly a safety issue but blocking off access to Newbottle is unfair and only a money saving exercise.

The council can't be allowed to cut off our village as the traffic will be pushed elsewhere causing further problems amongst other things!

There's nothing wrong with the junction .... Hat off to how Sunderland council have done it now ... Brilliant job done !!! It's the drivers that need to take more care and judge on coming traffic better !!!

its the idiot drivers to blame if everyone allowed enough time for their journey and remember the Highway Code .i use the junction regularly and I am in my late 60s
