The revised proposal is not in keeping with the surroundings and should not be approved. Did Bovis ever intend to build the original design, or did they cynically propose it to get approval for the estate, then intend to build the ugly version, hoping council objections would be overturned once appeals reach ministry level, like Sainsburys?

New one looks like a generic motorway bridge...nobody wants that except maybe Bovis shareholders increasing their dividend. Think the good folk of Wellingborough deserve better much than that - we are living with the bridge for a long time and want something to be proud of.
