One change then another

The town deserves better, let's keep it as originally planned and make it an area to be proud of, rather than another example of a motorway bridge!!

Do not allow this change. I am a bridge designer, and the proposed change is simply a cost-saving measure on behalf of the developer. The proposed alternate is an ugly motorway overpass that is simply not appropriate for this location. Bridges are designed for 100 year plus lifespans and their form has a huge impact on the environment.

Iam opposed to the whole Stanton Cross development, but seeing as we are now stuck with the whole sale destruction of more of ,Northamptonshires countryside, we may as well have it looking as nice as possible, Bovis homes obviously just want to make as much profit as they can for there shareholders and don't give a hoot for what they leave behind

Please don't let developers treat out home like like this. Future development in Wellingborough should always add to the appeal of the town, not take away from it. Reject this proposal

This is just an obvious cost-cutting ploy now that the project is proceeding. Rejection is the only option.

Pls keep original design. Something that keeps in character of surroundings and environment not a bridge that cuts corners

Yet another example of coming up with a good design knowing it will help gain planning consent knowing they had no intention of doing what had been agreed by the local authority - make them build what has was agreed in the first place!

Would like to support this campaign as seems unfair to change design at this late stage.

Please retain the original approved design and respect the historic nature of the area

The developers should build something that improves the environment and the image of Wellingborough. They should not be allowed to cut corners and build a bog standard bridge that has little visual appeal.

If planning permission was granted on an aesthetically pleasing design, added to the area, how can amended permission be granted for something that is purely functional in its place. The council must say no

The original plan is nicer

It is time to stop restore some character to the town. Bovids acquired the development on the basis of the plans and should not be allowed to save cost by reduction in well founded architectural features

The original approved design had merit. The new proposal has none. My hope is that the Wellingborough council rejects the planned amendment!

It would be nice to leave to future generations something from our time that they and we could be proud of

Why change a wonderful design? Original has character and is in keeping with the victorian station areas.

The original bridge looks far superior.

Keep the original plans!

Permitting this amendment sets an unwelcome precedent for the developers to make further changes to the Stanton Cross project.
