These comments are accurate and well stated. Together with the archaic parking policy and the existing strip development, our Village HBD is barely viable. Further unnecessary route 20 development will contribute to the demise of our Village, and have a negative impact on the future of our community.

I support sensible development that is in keeping with the character of the town. The new Empire brewery building and business, for example, is a beautiful building and a welcome economic addition that fits the town aesthetically. Big box stores are unimaginative and unsightly, and they contribute to sprawl and reduce property values for nearby residences. I trust our elected officials will do what is right and not approve the annexation request.

Believe so strongly that we took the right approach to careful planning and zoning when we called for the comprehensive plan 8 years ago. We feel as strongly today as we did then. Please vote NO on this annexation request and please know the comprehensive plan was designed for smart growth, not for alteration and disregard.

It is hard to understand why our Planning Board has such a hard time using our Comprehensive Plan as a guiding document. This project serves to primarily benefit the developer(s) behind it, who don't even live in our community, and who are about to laugh at us all the way to the bank. How about instead of continually focusing on "bigger, newer, and better" we focus on what we already have, and how through adaptive re-use we can make our community stronger and more vibrant. Much better than competing for best new mixed-use strip center in central New York.

I'd like to know if there has been any discussion by the board regarding the plans Widewaters has for their property across the street. I have seen their proposed plan and it is very similar and that property has already been annexed.

I understand the stole property across the street, now owned by Widwaters development is also planned for a very similar development. As that property is already annexed perhaps we should have a look at the bigger picture before we annex more.

Families choose to reside in this community specifically because of its rural charm and NON-Commercial feel. Unobstructed developments of this kind specifically violate the wants of the vast majority of our town's residents. The town's comprehensive plan of 2008 was specifically established to govern future developments in our community and should be adhered to by all future developers!!!

The proposed project associated with this annexation request is not in agreement with the Comprehensive Plan. Until it is, our elected representatives should not approve. Annexation is not in the public interest.

I do not oppose an Aldi's. If they can abide by everything in the Comprehensive Plan, great, if they cannot, Cazenovia is not the location they should seek. Please do not vote yes for annexation until every issue is resolved. SLOW DOWN

More attention needs be paid to the loading on the waste plant coming from continued residential and commercial annexation. No way to expand the current one and tens of millions to build a new one!

We support sensible development consistent with our current Village architecture. Building with more creative & beautiful design, using natural stone, brick & mortar, not synthetic “Dryvit” & plastic, which looks OK now, but not in 20 years.
We do not need another Erie Blvd.
entrance corridor in Cazenovia.
This is our opportunity to create and build classic & beautiful architecture in our community before it's too late
