Petition to Oppose the Black Mountain Development

Many concerns offset the potential benefits of this project which further threatens the character and utility of Basalt.

There are already way too many cars on Hwy 82 and the surrounding roads. Willits has plenty of housing. Keep the charm of historic Basalt.

The Wildlife in our valley face enormous challenges, in their necessary movements, and finding quiet places to raise their family. Please slow the spread!

This area is not appropriate for this type of development. 700k cash sounds like a bribe.

Inappropriate high impact development with irreversible consequences to open space, wetlands, and small town character.

The first two tries should have been enough. We need to find the balance with living in the incredible area while also letting the environment throve around us.

I love Basalt for the tiny town it is. Please stop trying to overdevelop it!

I oppose on many level. Most importantly this property needs to be a protected flood plain/wildlife habitat.

Serious issues with the ingress and egress of this development and stay out of the flood plain.

This area is in a flood plain and wildlife area, thus not appropriate for development. Moreover, Basalt traffic is already excessive. A development of this size is too large for Basalt's infrastructure.

Too much development! Too much traffic. There are already accidents every day on this stretch of road. We do not have the services and access to support more. We do not have enough access to evacuation.
