I am a resident of Charleston National and this use requires BZA approval for a reason. I do not support a gas station on this property. Please do not approve this exception

There is NO need for another gas station! A decent neighborhood restaurant....that's a different story, but Gas stations? Are we becoming Myrtle Beach?

A gas station at the corner of Route 17 and old Court Lane will be devastating to the Charleston in national community! This gas station is too close to residential housing and will introduce severe environmental concerns to a residential neighborhood. Traffic, noise, gas fumes, light pollution.

We do no need another service station and in addition, they are requesting an exception which should not be granted.

There are plenty of options that fit this category already in the area, there is not a need for another

This location is already dangerous because there is no traffic light at Old Course Lane and Hwy 17N. Adding a gas station here will make the situation much worse. It will also have a negative impact, as far as light and noise, on the homeowners closest to the proposed gas station.

I live on the street that is adjacent to this proposed gas station. I worry about the noise, traffic, appearance, and lights, but there is more: this seems like a stupid investment. There are enough stations already in the area, and it would not be a convenient stop for most south-bound traffic on 17 (who'll fill up at Sewee Outpost). Plus, an objective look at the trends indicate that gas is a losing bet. When there is little use for this station now, what will the demand be in 10 years with the increasing percentage of EVs on the road?

A large gas station at one of the main entrances to Charleston National would pose an additional traffic hazard not to mention eye sore for the community entrance.

We don’t need a large gas station at this site. Something smaller with curbside appeal is what is needed at this site.

We already have enough gas station near our neighborhood. Traffic is awful on 17 this would cause more congestion plus noise n lights. Mt pleasant has a noise ordinance before 7 n 11 on. This would effect noise in our neighborhood

We have what we need here and don't need to expand toward Awendaw any further.
