The doctors shouldn't be granted that right. Radiology is a branch of medicine not a profession. Radiography is the profession nd shud be contacted first to about clashes.

The Bill is a duplication of existing bill establishing adiographers REGISTRATION Board of Nigeria ( RRBN) . The bill is aimed at ridiculing radiography profession and to deny us an effective participation in matters affecting our profession. The bill seeks to establish another council outside Nigerian Medical Council which overseers the activities of medical doctors. Radiologists are medical doctors by training. Besides a lot of agencies are already entrusted with the use of Ionizing radiation such as RRBN, NNRA. So what purpose will the new bill serve.

It's is duplication of agencies as there are agencies for Radiographers and Doctors seperately. Radiologist have the Medical and Dental Council while Radiographers do have Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria. The Radiologist training is regulated by the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria while Radiographers Registration Board Regulates that of Radiographers.

Radiologists can set up there own regulatory body and leave radiographers out of it, we have RRBN. Radiography is a distinct profession from radiology.
