Mike, the guy that owned most of the land certainly would not want to push planes away from his land.

I really think we have enough housing in this village, you have already ruined a once beautiful village, only now to be the ugliest village in England, a stupid idea, but it's typical of greed we have in the council

Thatcham's facilities can't cope with the extra housing

Our infrastructure is under strain as is. The council would need to invest significantly to support. Due diligence has. It been done or this project would not see the light of day.

i think its outrageous to even consider closing kennet school! apart from the impact on the children thing of the traffic increase!!

Services are stretched enough as it is we do not need more homes built the roads, doctors, shops and schools can not cope

far too many houses already increasing the chances of flooding, congestion to our already busy roads, secondary school would not cope. Leave Thatcham alone no more building on green sites!

Where are the children living in these houses going to go to school? Francis Baily is hard enough to get into as it is and Kennet certainly can't take on that many additional students without the catchment being significantly reduced. Thatcham cannot physically take anymore people! Especially on this scale?!

500 houses in the plan, but if it gets the go ahead, I fully expect the development to end up being 800 houses. We were promised Kennet Heath would be 500 houses and look what happened here. All the primary schools have been over subscribed in the last 4 years (as a direct result of the Kennet Heath Development) and these numbers have yet to filter through to Secondary Schools and NOTHING is being done to address this future problem (let alone without factoring in an extra 500+ houses in the catchment). The Kennet catchment is going to shrink even further and closer to Kennet School. Floral Way of a morning is already queued back and this will get significantly worse when you add in the traffic from the estate.

This is definitely not going to help the flood problems that thatcham have already!its all well and good building more homes for families, but they also need somewhere for their children to go to school!!
