There are so many developments and empty commercial space already. The number of new developments in our area in such a short amount of time would have a severe negative impact.

We have lived across from this proposed development for over a decade and I totally agree with the points made in this petition. This development is completely out of line with the character and feel of our neighborhood and will only exacerbate existing traffic and pedestrian issues at what is currently a very busy intersection. Traffic is already at a standstill at this intersection each weekday from 3pm-7pm. They are proposing 92 apartment units to be housed in the current bank building - all in the Coonley school district. How will the influx of young children living in this building safely cross this major state highway to get to and from school each day? One of the 47th ward volunteers was KILLED crossing it just 8 months ago. Not to even mention the several times cars have plowed through the AT&T store and T-Mobile store in recent months. Additionally, the proposed 7-8 story building is completely out of line with neighboring buildings - nothing is this tall in the area by a long shot. Have a close look at the proposed plans and how they almost completely cover every inch of the current area with building and concrete and little else. Where is the green space? None. Ask anyone who lives here - this area is primarily composed of families with young children. Majority of real estate in area is single family homes. Over half of the proposed apartment units are 1 bedroom. How is that in line with the population moving here who likely need much larger individual spaces for their family? Additionally, people move to this area with their families for the exact reason to AVOID the congestion and excessive development that is closer to downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. This proposal is bad for the neighborhood and community and I do not support it. It is not a done deal by any means so please consider signing this petition and stop this proposed over-development from happening.

This is way too large with poor parking and access routes in a tight area on 6 corners. Nope.

Lack of parking will create huge problems. Just because it’s a ‘transit oriented’ building does not mean people will not have cars.

This was the best neighborhood in the city until all the high density developers came in to cash in on a great neighborhood. This new buzz word TOD transit oriented development is a scam and total fallacy. These high density developments only add to already heavy traffic congestion but put added strain to the already stressed sewer, water and electric utilities. The madness has got to stop

This will elevate population density to unsafe levels and create even more elevated traffic congestion. This neighborhood is getting too crowded with higher rise building and loosing character of a neighborhood. I support a smaller structure that accommodates the existing neighborhood better

I support the need for density, though not necessarily this project. I take great exception to #5 Planning. The NCNA vision study and the ssa plan were done openly, in public, and over several meetings. At all times notice was sent thru various channels. it is grossly unfair to wake up to a major public plan and complain you never were asked for an opinion because you missed or ignored the invitation. I currently chair the NCNA Zoning and Land Use committee. We meet monthly, our meeting dates are posted, minutes are posted, and guests and volunteers are welcome to attend. I attended the SSA Study meetings, and worked on the NCNA vision study. Attendance was low, but ample notice was given. Well one thing I know what Developers do is they shoot high, propose the most extreme then they pretend to scale back the protest as a way to appease the protest of their first proposal. In other words propose a 10 story building scale back to 7 story and they got what they really wanted. So with that I do not approve of this project. We don’t need anymore blocky massive glass brick building loaded with transient renters and first floor retail full of dentists, nail salons, eye glass, and gym boutiques , etc.

Agreed that our neighborhood is lacking in greenspace and with the big parking lots available– that should be a priority as our neighborhood is developing. Also agreed that we don't have the restaurants or destinations that Lincoln Square or Lakeview do, a mile north or south of this location. This *could* be laying the foundation for that, but instead it seems it's creating a bunch of high end rentals that will crowd out street parking because if there is garage space, the residents will need to pay for it, and would prefer to park on the street. That will add dozens and dozens of cars to this already congested block where it's hard to find parking.

The proposed building is way too tall, would have too many units and not enough parking. The building’s proposed height is inconsistent with the neighborhood.

Development ok. Excessive greed of developers not ok.

I have the same concerns. Please find another intersection to build on.

I am concerned about increase traffic down our street on the 3900 block of Seeley. We already have people who speed down the street on their way to Irving Park making it a dangerous block for kids to play.
