We Demand Better: Say No to 3950 N.Damen Current Proposal

I do not think that this is the right development for our community.

Agree with all the above comments. We do NOT need more density, ugly highrise-style buildings and NO parking. When family/guests come to visit us, it is RIDICULOUS that they should have to pay to park on Lincoln Ave. due to no available parking on residential streets. Some say that this (the proposed building) is a "done deal," and the community really has no valued input. I'm hoping this is not the case. Who wants to change our family-oriented neighborhood to a transient (rental units) neighborhood? It's all too much! Density. Congestion. **No parking.** Dog poop. Eyesore. Sunlight-blocker. The list goes on and on. I really don't see how this project could benefit the community in any way, shape, or form. (How 'bout focusing on "turn on green arrow" traffic lights on the extremely busy intersection of Lincoln/Damen/Irving, for example? And yes, how 'bout bringing back the Lincoln bus?) I can't see any benefits of this project to our community whatsoever.

Too high, too much density. More retail? Look around at all the empty store fronts. Absolutely not.

Please continue to address the concerns of our Seeley neighbors.

We need better!

It is an extremely unattractive development that will be an eyesore for decades. It adds nothing to the neighborhood.

We need density that will allow for and be the root cause of more retail/ restuarants. Yet this building is too tall will be ominous over the corner , and is not like the height of others near to it. Apts and condos will help w/ the density issue yet not at this proposed grand scale. Public greenspace needs to be incorporated.

There is not adequate parking provided.

Too. Big. Too high. We don’t need oversized buildings with empty storefronts. The plan lacks sufficient parking, and waste management space . That is a critical corner in our community. And our community doesn’t need another large unaffordable building with no plans for community or significant public pace.

Bring back the Lincoln bus and make it free OR add 1:1 parking spaces to the project.

I think increasing density here with affordable options for homeownership is a good idea--but--this plan has many flaws that need to be worked out.

We do not need this much more congestion in this area.

The proposed structure is too tall. I don't support a building taller than 4 or 5 stories to be consistent with the neighborhood architecture. I would also much prefer if the proposal was condominiums vs rental.

I say NO ! Enough is enough. We pay extremely high taxes and have no rights about these issues. Stop already.

No more people. It's already congested area.

This isn't Lincoln Park, lets keep these types of developments out of our quant neighborhood. And why would Matt Martin OK this development when he has always had a stance of bringing more affordable housing options ie approval of the ADUs.

This building is way too big for our neighborhood.
