These events are a family fun filled day which we attend every year. Are you looking at reducing other 2 day events that occur during the spring/summer?

Wow, I suspect similar decisions made towards Caribana. I was born in this great city & have experienced many cultural events that is reflective of our diverse community. With (what appears to be) the phasing out of one of the biggest & longest running Caribbean (T & T) parades in Toronto ~Caribana, the limited time provided to Afrofest this years appears to be a hidden agenda. One in which these decision makers are possibly hoping it will come to a point where the Afrofest attendees & vendors will basically say "It's not worth it...cancelled!"= Afrofest cancelled. I've also noticed many restrictions with these type of events which is truly unfair

As an African who lives in DOWNTOWN Toronto has to deal with the constant noise pollution from multiple events, parades and celebrations taking place, I have accepted them as part of the experience of enjoying the privilege of living in a multi cultural city.
I respect the right of every ethnic group to celebrate and identify with others of similar cultural backgrounds.
The city did not invite the general public to provide insight and feedback on the changes to the format and length of the event. Last I checked this is a democracy not a dictatorship

Afrofest is a cultural institution in Toronto, and I am proud to live in a city where festivals on this scale, combining so much talent and organization, can continue to take place.

As an east-end Toronto resident , I've always been so proud to say that largest African music festival happens in my part of the City. Music Africa does all of Toronto a huge service by organizing this outstanding event. I find it astounding that the city seems to miss that entirely, behaving as though IT is doing the organizers a favor by letting them use Woodbine Park. Afrofest is a huge amenity, not just to a particular cultural community, but to the residents of Beaches, Leslieville, Danforth, East York, CrescentTown and all the other neighborhoods nearby.

This is an event that my entire family attends. It's full of vibrancy, culture, great food and entertainment! The vibe is always positive! It's disgusting that they want to shorten it!

This city has given a poor excuse for not allowing this annual festival to continue with their 2 days. All festivals produce sound so if the location does not suffice then this festival should maybe be relocated

this is a multicultural festival and not only exhibits the rich african culture to the canada people but also open the rich culture of the canadian people to nigerian
