This is a highly regarded and well organized event drawing well over 100,000 visitors, many from outside the city. Let's encourage tourism to Toronto and at the same time celebrate the African heritage of many of our residents.

I think it's ridiculous that this city tries to cut or take over Afro events. I lived right across from the park for 2 years and the Jazz festival is even louder so why no complaints. This is discriminatory. Toronto is better this.

Please do not end something that is so near to the African community and black community. Every other cultural group has celebrations and festivals and this is the only African one. It wouldn't be right

This is ridiculous!!! I'm so disappointed by the city of Toronto. We're suppose to be a multicultural city but it seems everything that is related to the "black" culture is being censored or attempting to be locked off. Look at what happened to Caribana?? Now ppl have to pay for Caribana...#disgusting. Gotta do better Toronto. We're no better than the states with racism. Canada is just more under cover with it....

AFROfest is one of the best, most relaxed and multi-cultural fest in TO. It is THE symbol of summer festivals in the city.

Don't downsize to one day,continue with regular schedule 2days, if there are rules broken (broken illegally, not simple issues) then charge a fine but to downsize is not fair

Its important to keep such events to encourage understanding between ethnic populations, thus reducing xenophobic tendencies.
