I truly love afro fest, it needs to stay a 2 day festival.

With all due respect AFROFEST Is an annual program. And having such program for two days shouldn't be a problem. The city can give them terms and conditions. Fine, But to change it from 2 days to just a day, wow! its not good looking. Please give AFROFEST 2Days to celebrate. Thank You

It's obvious this situation is biased and one sided. Just another way to show once more their lack of interest in the black communities!

Why would such a multicultural city do such a thing?

Come on. If you say we're a city full of multicultural why is it that black culture keeps getting punished for celebrating their culture and heritage. This is very upsetting

Please don't put another black stain on Toronto's "multicultural" façade.

what's wrong with you folks! Its just a couple noise complaints, versus the expression of millenia worth of human culture, not to mention good cultural economics for the city

Cutting the festival short is wrong. It goes against our strong multicultural, inclusionary values most of us hold dear.

Give Afrofest another chance , they will comply with regulations after this warning of a 1 day festival. I am not African but I and my family have loved this festival for many years. I am a tax payer and my favorite festival is Afrofest.

This should not have happened! Shutting down a festival for 1 whole day that only lasts 1 weekend in the summer because of 8 complaints in a city of almost 3 million people makes NO SENSE! Disappointed in City Council!

The festival should be expanding!

What is the threat of black people embracing our history and sharing it with other cultures. What are they really afraid of?

Afrofest is known for 2 days and why changed it now? Then if there was a problem from the beginning then why bring it up now? Makes know sense..LET AFROFREST BE NOW AND HERE TO GENERATIONS!! FARENESS IS NEEDED.

I love it it probably needed does not generate as much money as the city would like but.....it is greatly needed and would be missed this is one of the few festivals I look forward to each and every summer!

There are many festivals in the city and in the East York area including the Beaches Jazz fest and the Bestival event. Is Afrofest is somehow louder? That is preposterous! I believe what is very clear here is blatant racism. The city needs to be clear on the type of message this is sending about the types of festivals and people who are welcome to celebrate their culture in this city and those who are not.
