This is the only event for the Africans in GTA so why one day and shortening of the hours.

This decision is yet another example of black culture being suppressed in our "non discriminatory" society. Black people need support each other in times like this to ensure our values and culture are not erased and forgotten. The people who voted for this should be ashamed and disgusted by their decision.

As a child growing up in Toronto, I thrived because of the diverse array of events that provided an opportunity for cultural appreciation and multiculturalism. To deny future generations the opportunity to enjoy Afrofest would be unfair, discriminatory, anti-Torontonian and, an encroachment upon human and cultural rights.

This is just crazy. I do not see how they can justify saying this event I louder then others. I think this is to do with the fact of race and not with the level of noise. I have attended this event in both locations. I think woodbine park is a great venue location because the attendance grew because the event is great. It has great vendors, music, food and has a great value to embracing Toronto's diverse cultural. I think it important that embrace all cultures and events this is what Toronto is about. If this event is changed to a one day event I agree this is not justified and is based on discriminatory. Why is it that all the other events such as Canada Day Beaches Jazz festival, Beer fest and Rib Fest are not limited to a one day event if so called Noise is the issue. I Lisa Goheen disagree with making afro fest a one day event.
