I went through the program in 1989-1991. I started Clark in the fall of 1989 and got a part-time job through the co-op program in November 1989. I have worked at the same place for over 25 years now (it's been my first and only job). The program was invaluable and know many people who have went through the program. Three of the four legal assistants at our firm went through the program.

I have worked as a paralegal for 15 years. Lawyers need good paralegals, paralegals need an education to better understand the system and I feel Clark does that. Clark has produced many successful graduates that I have had the pleasure of working with over my career. I would hate to see the program terminated. Cutting a program for an industry that is always in need of good candidates in an area like Vancouver is not a wise choice in my opinion.

I have worked in the legal profession for 14 years. While I did not participate in the paralegal program at Clark College, I have had the pleasure of working alongside many of the phenomenal, talented people that have come out of this program. It would be a shame to remove this program as it supplies very knowledgeable, high-quality individuals to the local legal community.

How can you in good faith cut funding for an educational and career oriented program when you continue to allocate obscene amounts to sports funding that benefits very few? The paralegal program is fantastic, well regarded in the community, and leads to actual careers for students. Is Clark still a school with a vested interest in the future of its students or merely a vessel to fuel the ego of Bob Knight?

the paralegal program at Clark allowed me to visit Washingron DC and my internship at the city of Vancouver gave me valuable experience and contacts. I went on to graduate school to receive a Master in Environmental Policy and currently work as a consultant in sustainability. I have worked on agricultural projects in Africa and with the Environmemtal Investigation Agency researching illegal imports. My education at Clark has opened many doors for me and the instructors are world class. The program is not a financial burden to the college and should be saved for the community and others who want to further their education at all ages. I supplied a job reference for a classmate today. It is a valuable program to me and many future students who support each other in the legal community.

I am the office supervisor at the Clark County Clerk's Office and hire many Clark paralegal graduates. Without this program, our office and the law offices in the area will not have off-the-ground running qualified applicants for such a complicated career. We even help students by letting them volunteer in our office. I know others have interned with some of our judges. It would be terrible to not fund this very beneficial program. Please consider budget cuts in other areas. Thank you for your consideration.

I have been a lawyer for almost 20 years and personally taught in the Clark College paralegal program for several years. I was extremely impressed with the students and have seen many of them gainfully employed in the legal community. This is a vital program to our legally community and should not be cut.

The paralegal program is vital to our community. It has changed my life and innumerable more people's before me. To deny future students this opportunity is a disservice worthy of a reassessment of the administration at Clark College. I will fight to give others the opportunity this amazing program gave to me and my fellow alumni. This is OUR community college.

I graduated from this program in 2009. I found a position immediately after graduation based solely on my training at Clark. Please keep the program!

I have lived in Clark County all my life. My Father was the Chief of the Dental Unit for the Veteran's Hospital - then called Barnes VA Hospital. I was instramental in helping develop and expand the Dental Hygiene program at Clark. These types of program are invaluable to the community as well as the students themselves. Please reconsider all cuts to the Para-Legal program. As a Lawyer for 42 years I have personal used and seen its benefits. One of my current staff members is a graduate.

The Paralegal Program must be kept. It provides the legal community and the citizens of Clark County with educated and motivated graduates. It is a self supporting and profitable program, and if it is cut there will be a considerable loss of revenue to Clark College. Most importantly, the legal community and citizens we serve will suffer.

I received my degree in the Paralegal Program at Clark and I would hate to see it go away. I feel it is essential in our legal community.

I taught Family Law in the paralegal program for three years. This is an important program that helps Clark County residents have access to justice. Keep the program.

As an attorney in this county for 30 plus years I have seen the value of this program first hand. I am surprised a program that gives skills leading to good paying jobs would be on the chopping block at all.

I have hired paralegals from this program. They were well prepared in assisting me in my legal practice. This is an invaluable program to the college and the community.
