This program is so important to the community! Cutting it would be a mistake!

I personally know five students, and they know at least five others each, who are in or want to continue with this program. It would be a shame for a practical program to close.

Please keep this program going. It is not fair to those who have chosen your school and the courses you offer to now cut those same courses after starting the student on a path for a career for which those same courses are necessary in order to achieve their goal. Once again money is the driver and not the education and support of students trying to further their education and careers. I ask once again for you to please reconsider your decision to cut the paralegal program at Clark College.

Clark's Paralegal program has given me many oppotunities to benefit our community. To end the program would be a disservice to the legal profession of SW WA. I'm a former Law Club Pres., a CASA volunteer, the only Clark student to win the OPA student essay contest, and I work in the field of criminal defense locally. My peers and I represent the best Clark has to offer. To end the program everyone works so hard for, both in the college and outside of it, will cause an irreparable ripple effect throughout our area. The community depends on us, and we have an ethical and moral obligation to continue our support of it.

I graduated last year from this program and fully heartedly believe it that eliminating the program would not only affect current students who have spent time and money to achieve their goals but would also affect future students from being able to reach their potential as lawyers, paralegals, clerks, judges, legal secretaries, etc. The future of our legal community will be lies in the hands of Clark College graduates, and by cutting the program it would affect our county, city, and state. WE are the future of legal service, let's come together and do whatever it takes to keep OUR program in Clark College's available curriculum.
