Sacov saved my life. If sacov wasnt there for me I would have never graduated. You will not find the love , care or dedication any where else. I was able to graduate with my class.

if it wasn’t for scavo i wouldn’t have graduated. the teachers there CARE! the school CARES!!! this is the only school i know that helps teen moms! there is a day care in the school just to help the single mothers and fathers!!!

Leave the kids alone. Not everyone thrives in your regular high school settings. Why do you want poor kids to fail?

I wouldn’t have graduated without scavo! it’s great for kids who can’t function in a normal school environment, I love how flexible they are with lessons because they know not everybody learns the same way

As a former student I can’t imagine shutting Scavo down. When most gave up on us, they accepted us.

This school has the most AMAZING & HELPFUL staff that actually cares about their students success and it would be very sad to see that go.

Without the alternative high school, I would have gone down a very different path. The teachers kept me going, with their personalities, their passion, and their compassion. The social aspect of being in a classroom is even more important to students who feel out of place in a traditional high school, it gives students a sense of belonging and support. Secluding students to a virtual classroom, would be detrimental to a lot of students who struggle with time management, or students that have a troubled home—I guarantee they will be more likely to give up. Many of these kids that go to alternative school are creative individuals who learn different than most, and so the one on one time they get served their needs and they are able to better problem solve, and end up making better decisions for their path when they graduate. To me, it was a second chance and with a troubled home life, it gave me a place to feel accepted and supported. I support Scavo.
