I have sent a formal inquiry to the publisher regarding their decision to pull the book from circulation. Their office has acknowledged receipt of our correspondence and I am currently awaiting a substantive reply.

The publisher has acknowledged our initial inquiry following the recent surge in interest. I am currently finalizing a formal letter that outlines our request for the book to be returned to circulation.

we want raccoon back!!!!
Need this back on shelves. Too many good books being taken away lately.
BRING IT BACK. ridiculous to ban a classic story like this. censorship is getting out of hand.
seriously? let kids read what they want. its a great story stop overthinking it.
This was my favorite book in elementary school. The illustrations are beautiful and it taught me so much. Please put it back in print.

my kids grew up on this book. why would you pull it? it makes no sense to deny new kids the chance to read it.
