I use this centre with my son and would be very sad to see this go

Stay and Play sessions form a vital service for parents and contribute to early identification and prevention of a number of difficulties in early childhood which , if not addressed, lead to social and financial costs to society at a later date.

This is a critical local service that has a key role to play in social inclusion at the start of the lives of our youngest local citizens.

How we treat our children is vital, and to be able to play in a safe place from an early age essential.

Many of our parents are using York Gardens Children's Centre. The professionals are offering valuable support to families with young children.

Supporting grandchildren's needs as they use this resource.

These proposed cuts are unacceptable and a further demonstration of the uncaring attitudes of Wandsworth's Conservative Council.

Closing down precious amenities and community support facilities at a time of youth depression and rising violent crime is simply unbelievably short-sighted and negative.

When there is a national epidemic with rising child violence, it just seems ridiculous and nonsensical to close down vital support services that helps parents to raise children already disadvantaged and marginalised

Too many children's centres have been closed, thus more children hanging around on the streets. Please don't close anymore!

As a previous employee at Battersea SureStart Childrens Centres I see these services as vital to the welfare of families with children under five. Any reduction in services is detrimental to family welfare.

Please stop trying to close everyting up.

We demand a universal stay and play service for children aged 0-3, supervised by Early Years professionals, continues to be offered on the York Gardens site.We demand a commitment that Children’s Centre services, including universal stay and play, will be continuously provided throughout the period of the Winstanley Estate regeneration on the Winstanley or York Road Estates. We demand the number of universal stay and play sessions stays the same or increases.
