Its ridiculous to keep closing down these much needed resources. Parents and children gain so much from these groups.

When the streets are having problems with knife fight your solution is to close down the children clubs and send them to the gang?? That is mad

I sing in because, the crime will increase if there isn’t opportunity for family how has poor income either medium income, every thing is expenses at the moment, family with low income we do not have places for recreation our children. Remember the future is the children. This council think only about BUSSINESS. That is not fair.

This area does not need cuts instead it needs: 1) a universal stay and play service for children aged 0-3, supervised by Early Years professionals, to be offered on the York Gardens site. 2) a commitment that Children’s Centre services, including universal stay and play, will be continuously provided throughout the period of the Winstanley Estate regeneration on the Winstanley or York Road Estates. 3) that the number of universal stay and play sessions stays the same or increases

We need to be helping young disadvantaged children, who have parents who are struggling to parent them. If you don’t start early, the problem will just be passed on to schools. We can’t afford for them to fail. If you don’t pay for it now, it will simply have to be paid for later.

Hardly a move that supports the community. Very disappointed with this move.

When closing the Battersea Park Sure Start and One o clock clubs and adventure playground assurances were given that stork Gardens would Keep their children’s centres! That commitment to the local community must be respected now.
