Please don't tear this coaster down. New and shiny things aren't always better. This is a piece of history and there's nothing like a wooden rolls coaster.

Having myself enjoyed Thunder Road in my younger days, I feel it is a breach of history to take it down. When Euclid Beach Park in Cleveland, Ohio shut down, the coasters were preserved and moved to Cedar Point, where they still run as a tribute to Euclid Beach. As a former employee of Carowinds, I remember the longest lines were at Thunder Road. It was one of the key rides of Carowinds, a true draw card and it should not be thrown to the wind.

Thunder Road was my first big coaster I rode as a kid in 1989. Please save this icon of the park, but at minimum give it one more year to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

ThunderRoad is the heart and soul of Carowinds. It is my family's favorite coaster and an important link to the grand history of Carowinds. Please preserve it for future parkgoers!

Please please keep Thunder Road is a piece of my childhood that I want to keep for my own Three children. I would be devastated if this roller coaster came down. I beg you please don't take it down. I feel as though you will lose business because of this. People would be really upset and may not come back to the park. This park is a peice of me, please please don't let our dream dye of keeping it around.

Save Thunder Road! Don't be like NASCAR and make unnecessary changes that are ultimately killing the popularity of sport. Preserve the cherished rides that are thre reason people hold Carowinds so dear in their heart.

There is nothing like an old wooden roller coaster. Everything doesn't have to be like the Fury. I would rather ride Thunder Road then the Fury. Which has malfunctioned more....hum?
