Please don't tear it down I've been riding it since I was 10 years old and want to share it with my grandkids.

This roller coaster is a piece of history!!! Please do not take it down. Nostalgia will bring back regulars more than a new water slide will bring in new people!

Why shut down the most well known and loved ride with such history! Seriously? Ohh so you can make room for newer rides that get awful reps like shutting down daily

One of the few "big" rides that younger visitors can ride once they're too old for the kiddie rides in Snoopy Land, or whatever it's called. Please keep Thunder Road!

It is the only thing that has been there since the beginning. I think that should speak for it's self. It is historical and should stay. Just as many people still ride it and love it !!!!!!!

Thunder Road is Carowinds. I rode it when Carowinds was new and I still remember the back story of it being a race. Just like Carowinds is on the NC/SC border, so was Thunder Road. The announcement would say something like, "You're on THUNDER ROAD" and the coaster would take off. The wooden coasters are known to be the best and they are slowing dying out. Keep the history!

Destroying an iconic coaster like Thunder Road really diminishes the quality and enjoyment of the park itself. You can have crazy rides like Intimidator or Fury, but original coasters bring authentic thrills and fun that can't be reproduced. KEEP THUNDER ROAD
