i love wooden roller coasters and this is definitely one of my favorite in all of North Carolina! I really don't want to see this coaster be torn down! My entire family loves this ride and would be saddened to see it gone!

wooden coasters are the best. The new coasters are too smooth. It's no fun unless you're shaken to pieces on a wood coaster.

Thunder Road is part of Carowinds history it would be a shame to see it taken down

Please let's keep some part of our history intact. Study Kennywood and learn to build over and around historic coasters instead of demolishing.

Please don't close ThunderRoad, the best rollercoaster in your park!!! What other amusement park offers a coaster with this much history, that splits over state lines? I've seen alot of changes at Carowinds since the 70's, but I never thought I would see ThunderRoad retired especially not for newer rides, come on really.

Save this amazing wood coaster! One of the last of it's kind. When I think of Carowinds THIS is the ride I think of!! It is a gem!

Thunder road was one of the first roller coasters I ever rode. It's a shame that carowinds wants to close it. After 39 years thunder road should be a historic landmark.

Please don't close this ride down. I want it to be the first roller coaster I take my daughter on like my dad did me when I was old enough.
