This is a GREAT coaster for kids to start off on riding bigger coasters. It has been at Carowinds almost since the beginning. This is a sad day.

ThunderRoad is a Carowinds landmark and shouldn't be removed. Spent most of my life enjoying this coaster over all of the others that came and went. #SaveThunderRoad

Please do not remove this piece of Carowinds history! Leave it up as a piece of nostalgia for the park.
Build a new Thunder Road II and leave up the original. No one wants to see it gone!

This is an iconic Carowinds coaster, and one of only two wooden coasters left in the park. Please do not tear down this piece of Carolina history. If a coaster must go, get rid of the Hurler, but Thunder Road must stay-it is a classic.

My mom and dad rode this after they met, working at Carowinds! My mom even did rode it dressed as the Michilin Tire Man for a publicity campaign. I love Thunder Road!!
