I've been riding thunder road for 27 years now. It was my first real coaster. Tearing it down is going to rather emotion for me. I grew up with Carowinds and there are only a few of the classics left in the park. Please do not retire thunder road. If you really need the space please try to at least move the coaster to another location with in the park.

We need to keep thunder road, it has a history with everyone who has been to Carowinds.

It would be a crime to demolish a classic wooden coaster like Thunder Road. It is the coaster that put Carowinds on the map! Carowinds would not and will not be the same without Thunder Road. I hope they will reconsider!

My favorite coaster of all at Carowinds! Please don't close it. Rode it last year many times and it didn't seem to be worn out, still a very pleasant ride. Now the Hurler...a different story! I thought I had whip lash after riding it! Had a headache for hours!

Heyo! Please don't close down this ride. It's how Carowinds became famous back in the day and it's still the best one there. A lot of people enjoy that ride. I'm just begging; please don't close it down.

Thunder Road is a right of passage, the first "grown-up" coaster kids in this area ever ride.

It's the icon of Carowinds, like Cinderella Castle is to Disney World!
