Thunder Road was the first big roller coaster I ever rode. It's a classic that deserves to stay!

Thunder road is one of the best rides at Carowinds. I remember when it used to go backwards on the one side, some of my best childhood memories are of Carowinds and Thunder Road was and still is one of my absolute favorites.

PLEASE don't close this ride! My daddy worked on this roller coaster and this is part of his legacy to me and my brother and sister. Just ask anybody about Ronald Sanders. Thunder Road was his baby.

I have ridden this coaster since the first year it opened. I can not count the times over the years. It is The Icon of the park. My kids have ridden it and I hope that my grandkids will get the chance to ride it too. Major loss to the park if it goes away.

This is my favorite roller coaster! I didn't waste time to ride the fury on my visit to the park in april. Carowinds will royally screw up if they do away with this ride!
