I think we should keep it for its historical value. It's not one of my favorites ride at the park, but I will support keeping it.

please don't destroy the 1st coaster I ever rode it is a part of History to all of us older folks and the younger generation loves it just as much. I would much rather see Hurler come down. I thought Carowinds was a family place but over the past few years since Cedar Fair took over all it has become is a place of half dressed women at the water park No there is nothing wrong with swimming a wearing a bathing suit but really ladies you are in public with other small children you should have respect for that and cover up more but each year the suits gets less and less and it makes it to where I wish Carowinds would do away with the water park you could wear shorts and a shirt to swim why in the world do you think you need to be half naked. As for me and my grandkids and family we have morals but this is about Thunder Road and I ask that you change your mind and let it stay and destroy Hurler instead.\..... Angela Fields

I just contacted Carowinds asking them not to tear it down and explaining why- that it's a land mark and the reason why people go to Carowinds. All I can say to everyone here- is contact them, send them e-mails. Let your voice be heard. Carowinds would honestly be nothing without the consumers, so shouldn't we get what we want? I know they might skip over mine, but if they get enough, they might just listen to us. And to everyone going to the rally, good luck. I can't go because I'm pregnant and when I go to Carowinds I have WAY too much temptation to ride all the rides. But Save Thunder Road has my support 100%!

My sister, dad, mom, grandfather, uncle, cousins and I all have rode this ride. I was so shocked to see the news in the paper today that is closing on July 26.

Please save Thuder Road. Its a piece of History that should go along with Pat Hall bring Carowinds for the North and South Carolina location. I miss alot of the prior Ride- White Lightning and the Barrel Roll

It's a shame to see such a great roller coaster go. It's iconic. My first roller coaster I ever rode.
