I grew up going to carowinds riding this ride, they should tear it down, maybe swcure it amd make it up to date but leave it as a old woodie.

Thunder Road is a tradition in my family. I grew up in the area and remember watching a promo video at the park when it was under construction. My brother and I would ride it over and over. Our personal record is 14 times in a row on a night when most everyone else was in the Palladium. It was an awesome night. My daughters are thrill seekers like me and couldn't wait until they were tall enough to ride. I cannot imagine a world without Thunder Road. In my opinion, it is part of NC history just as much as the moonshine runners who inspired the name.

THUNDER ROAD WAS, IS, AND WILL ALWAYS BE FOREVER A CLASSIC FOR CAROWINDS! MANY FUN TIMES HERE!! LOVE THAT IT IS A WOODEN ROLLER COASTER AND NOT THOSE METAL NEW ONES!! YOU REALLY GET THE FEEL OF WHAT A ROLLER COASTER IS ON THUNDER ROAD!! PLEASE SAVE IT !!
