Me along with so many of my friends and family will quit coming to carowinds if you take thunder road out..forget the stupid water park extension because people would rather have the coaster that the water park

Thunder Road was one of my first roller coasters and its historical. You can't just get rid of history like this!

Thunder Road is the most iconic ride at Carowinds and was the centerpiece attraction at the park for many years--as such, it's one of the last remaining links to the "classic" early years and literally cannot be replaced. Carowinds should rethink this short-sighted decision before it's too late to go back--if this happens, the park will never be the same again.

Thunder Road is iconic to Carowinds and to destroy it would not be wise and to be replaced by MORE water park stuff...SHAME on you Carowinds! If you want to get rid of a coaster loose the Hurler, Carolina Cobra, or Cyclone they are the worst rides.

Thunder Road was my first "big" rollercoaster. I always ride it first when I go to Carowinds and is one of my favorites. The fact they will be replacing it with water park rides is sickening. I don't even like the water park. I go for coasters, if I wanted water rides, I'd go to wet n wild. What a shame.

this is an outrage people should know not to destroy a record rollercoaster. Why just because the Fury325 is here we need to tear down another one!!!!

Thunder road is so iconic. The very first roller coaster I ever rode, would hate to see it close.

Keep thunder road..my favorite old coaster. Need some rides to keep the generation that remember this over the past 40 years coming back for more..

Don't take out Thunder Road. Those classic racing woodies are so hard to find these days, and this one is an iconic one as it races over two states.

Don't take out thunder road..it's history and it's the ride that made Carowinds what it is today..it was my first roller coaster back in the day when I rode it in 79 and still ride to this day.always loved coming to carowinds but if it goes then I will never come back to carowinds and go to other theme parks like six flags and cedar point and yes I will drive that far..building a new coaster like fury 325 will not make up for the loss of thunder road..don't take it out..save thunder road

This ride is a part of Carowinds history and is a wonderful ride in the hearts of many worldwide. A water park will never substitute this unforgetable classic.
