Thunder Road is BY FAR the best coaster there. I still remember riding it when one track went backwards.

Why!? It is one of the best in the park and way better than a tube and water. It's ridiculous.

The Carowinds execs can't possibly believe that ANY water slide is going to be able to replace Thunder Road. What are they even thinking replacing a Carolina ICON with a water tube. No one is going to make a trip to Carowinds because of that water slide, but every year people travel back to ride Thunder Road again because of the memories it holds and what it means for people to be on it again. I am greatly disappointed in Carowinds and I can guarantee I will not return to the park if this decision is not reversed.

I remember when they use to have Burma Shave signs on Thunder Road. I still yell out "Grit Your Teeth, Bare the Load, Enjoy Your Ride, On Thunder Road...Burma Shave!"
