I rode this from age 12 to 27. I know this petition will not help because they will do what they want, I can say at least I did my part.

Keep Thunder Road! The pool of wooden roller coasters in the US is dwindling. These pieces of American history need to be preserved!

I'm serving in the U.S. Army and currently stationed overseas. When you say Carowinds the first thing to pop in your head is ThunderRoad. Just like many have said "It's the face Carowinds, it's iconic, history, fun memories, etc.." For me to come back home and no longer see ThunderRoad nor having the chance to ride TR again, well, you just took away a large portion of my heart. ThunderRoad runs deep into our souls! Don't take away our first true love.....ThunderRoad 4 Life (TR4L)!!

Best ride at Carowinds in my opinion. When I go to Carowinds, Thunder Road is always what I most look forward to. It seems like there must be plenty of better options if something has to go, like the Hurler for example... The park won't be nearly as appealing without this iconic ride.

please don't get rid of this parks most iconic ride. You don't see many wooden coasters like this anymore any loosing this would be loosing a piece of Charlotte and the Carolina's history.

Why would u take out another part of the legacy of Carowinds.. ,Yeah the new entrance is amazing but that plantation house was a classic.. ... so remove the Eiffel towers at KD and KI

'Thunder Road' was born around the time when I fell in love with roller coasters. It's more than well worth to preserve this classic woodie. To destroy it, it's like to take a milestone in the history of rollercoasters away. Give 'Thunder Road' a second chance to live, to race and to enjoy more thousands of coaster riders.

One of the best coasters there and part of the park's history. Why would you get rid of it???

Please don't retire Thunder Road! I grew up riding this ride and think it is better than any newer ride. I want my children to ride it when they get old enough. Wooden coasters are becoming a thing of the past and it could draw people in to the park years from now.

This is terrible news! When I was a kid I won a contest and got to be on the first ride of Thunder Road (along with my best friend). I also me a girl who was on the first ride too, and we're still friends to this day. Since then I've ridden it many times, including with my son. Lots of memories. A classic!

Bribing us with a COOL record breaking Giga Coaster then next move is to teardown an Iconic Wooden Coaster Thunder Road Is Heartbreaking And IMHO Unnecessary! I rode that beautiful piece of aerial Architecture Day One Opening Day Of Carowinds Inaugural Season! I honestly thought Cedar Fair Was Above This Type Of Maneuver! Very Sad Day Indeed! I think you will soon discover by the outcry and backlash the ERROR of your Plan! #SAVE THUNDER ROAD!
