Thunder Road is very important part of Carowinds because, it is one of the few rides that has been there since the early years of Carowinds. If Thunder Road goes there won't be that many early Roller Coasters left, it's one of the few coasters that tell the history of the park.

It's too important to so many people for them to tear it down.

Please dont take thunder road away!!! It is pure history of the park. Its no different than Blue Streak at Cedar Point. Its part of the roots of the park!

Thunder Road is the only dualling wooden coaster in the Southeast. I'm sure that there are other places to expand the park. I have been a season pass holder since 1988. It was a shame to redo the entrance to the park. It doesn't really qualify as a theme park. They really need to find a way to keep Thunder Road, if only as an omage to the "Theme Park ".

There are so few wooden roller coasters left. Please don't tear down this memory of the past. Steel coasters are great and break records, but there is nothing like a wooden coaster.

The petition will not save Thunder Road! They have been planning this for months. They didn't just get up and post the announcement like they needed guest approval. They have probably been planning this since last year. So get your last rides in, because this petition is absolutely pointless!

I road Thunder Road when I was 16 years old 10 times in one day! Today I broke that record with my 9 1/2 year old son. We road it 20 times. He loved it! Fury 325 is scary to little kids but this ride is super fun. Many people complain about the jerking but you have to ride it like a horse, slide up and down in your seat going up and down the hills or track and it is always easy on the body. We just walked in the door and found this out. VERY SAD! I am so glad that he got to share a special memory with his daddy at the age of 51 now, before they removed this park icon!

SAVE THUNDER ROAD!!! This was my first roller coaster with a big drop, and I'd hate to see it removed. It's my favorite ride in the entire park!

The only coasters at Carowinds worth preserving are Carolina Cyclone and Goldrusher. The former is the world's first coaster to go upside down four times, the latter being Carowinds' first coaster.
