Thunder Road is easily one of the best rides at Carowinds. As a kid, it was the only ride that I would even get on. Now that I'm grown, it's still my favorite even though I ride the other roller coasters. The fact that they'd get rid of it is disappointing.

If there is an extenuating circumstance that is beyond Carowinds' control, that's one thing. If so, TELL US. Otherwise, I've lost all respect for Matt Ouimet - who I thought was going in the right direction with the parks - and for Carowinds. Do not make this stupid move and "retire" (bulldoze) this ride.

I truly hate that things like this have to happen. Greed and money are ruining this world. Thunder Road is one more thing that the rich want to get rid of.

After riding the fury, intimidater, and after burn my 11 year old said Thunder Road was by far better. The wooden coasters give a different experience, let it stay!

This 1976 icon is awesome and a classic wooden coaster that is perfect in the County Fair section of the park! Please don't take this wonderful memory away from those of us who now bring our kids! We've already lost the a Powder Keg Flume, and White Lightening!!! We love this one!!!

I've gone to Carowinds since its opening and worked with a lady whose family farm was a part of the Country Crossroads section where Thunder Road is located. It is such a part of our entertainment history. Removing it is a terrible idea! ACE Club members -- get involved in this one!

I love thunder road!! Its fun to ride and i don't think they should shut it down.. I have to many memories of it and i hate to see it go
