Please don't get rid of thunder road this coaster is a legend. One of my first big rides and also my kids. This coaster means so much to so many people. My mom use to tell me when I was little the signs that was posted going up hill on this coaster. Even though its old people still know and enjoy this one coaster over the new ones. Please reconsider your choices. I also like the hurler but would rather see it go than thunder road. Get rid of the gold rush. Grit your teeth and bare the load enjoy your ride on thunder road!!!! #savethunderroad

this ride is worth saving. It's been with carowinds for forever it seems like and was my first roller coaster ride. Do not take it away to build some other ride!

Really Carowinds? All for a waterpark expansion and new slides that someone will be able to go down once every 90 minutes if they are lucky. The waterpark is gross anyway and that's where you choose to put the money. You couldn't even let it have one last full season next year for the 40th anniversary. This decision is atrocious on all levels!

Please do not take this roller coaster away. This the first ride I always get on in the park, my kids live it and their now adults and still loves it. So many memories. The first time I rode was with my boyfriend back in the 70s we are now husband and wife. Please don't remove it.

I used to ride this over and over again with my Dad! We would just go back and fourth between the front facing and backward facing. My Dad has since passed away and I would love to ride it again but y'all are closing it in July. I'm pregnant and not due until September so I guess its just memories for me!
