this is terrible! Thunder road was a HUGE part of my childhood. I love this coaster

Thunder Road was the first roller coaster I've ridden. It deserves its preservation due to its unique cross-state feature that is shared with no other roller coaster that I know of. It sucks to hear that it's being taken down.

Please, don't take down Thunder Road! This is the best roller coaster there! Show some TLC! Yes it needs some repairs, but please, this is the best there! Don't retire it if it's the most iconic! It's breaking my heart knowing that they're taking it down! Carowinds, you're making a HUGE mistake!

This makes me so mad! I grew up on this ride! It was the first one I ever rode since I was not tall enough for the other rides. I love almost every ride there but Thunder Road has been and always will be my favorite ride! Not once have I been to the water park and I don't care to! So why "retire" (tear down) a great ride!? I'm currently pregnant with my first child and is unable to ride any rides this season unless it's at the end towards October. I would love to ride it at least one last time! If they go though with this stupid plan I guess me and my friends will not be coming back! Thunder Road goes we go!!!
