The Friends of Winton Park are starting this petition to request that Salford City Council overturn the decision to allow the employment contract of ranger, Jessica Britch, to expire at the end of March 2012. Jess has been an invaluable asset to Winton Park and surrounding community. She has been instrumental to the Winton Park improvement programme and has led many activities in Winton Park aimed at improving and educating people about Winton Park. We believe Salford City Council are making a mistake in considering letting her go. The pettion is calling for extension of her contract and investment in our local Park, a valuable community resource that everyone enjoys.
