I am not really sure what will the government benefit from this action? Cigarettes, fast food, alcohol and other things are more harmful and they are not being banned. This is part of the middle-eastern culture and since you pride yourself on being a multi-culture nation, you should not be banning it. It is not hurting anyone…nobody is being forced to enter any of the shisha lounges, people are there by choice. Same choice you make when you decide to smoke a cigarette or eat fatty foods or drink. Shutting these places down will affect the owners of these places as it is the sole income for them. Will the city find them jobs or provide them with income?

The Two studies about the impact of Shisha on health that the city put forward are garbage. Accusing that 25% of bars have higher smoke load than the permitted load in residential houses is garbage. Because why are you comparing a business level of smoke a to aresidential level of smoke? Worse, since the ban of cigarettes in 2006, we discovered that 80% of cancers are caused by the HPV virus and not caused by cigarettes. Also we did not see any significant change in lung cancers level before and after the cigarettes ban was made, the trends of lung cancer among men and women continued on its same track. Also cigarettes have 200 added chemicals and are hydrolized. Shisha in contrast has 4 organic food products. So why are we comparing cigarettes to Shishas?

I love it , I quite cigarettes long time ago and I go to hookah lounge in scarborough jut to smoke my flavoured herbal hookah , stop doing this to us because the only alternative that I'll go back to smoke cigarettes inside my house and this will harm my kids
