It is imperative that Professor Iris Stevenson-McCullough & Al Tarver remain in that community servicing young adults. They’ve provided countless years of support for young individuals that thrive in performing arts.

Visual and performing arts are so important for mental and character development! Shame on this school for trying to take that away from CHILDREN! Administration should be ashamed of themselves for not knowing what is best for their students. I stand with VAPA!

Crenshaw is a lot different since I’ve attended. The Arts should remain, these Teachers should remain. It’s the last thing that makes Crenshaw what it was. Keep the Culture Alive!

Iris Stevenson and Al Tarver are institutions within the institution of Crenshaw High. Both have put Crenshaw on the map. It’s a shame to take away two individuals that has meant so much to this community.

Mr. Tarver is an excellent music teacher. I took what I learned with him in highschool and took it to church. He always had a life lesson to share with my husband and I who officially met in his class. Ms. Stevenson worked hard to expose our community youth to something greater by traveling the world, opportunities that they would have never imagined could come true. It is so sad to see them being pushed out and I really hope they can stay.

The music program at Crenshaw High School kept a many of children out of trouble. This program makes kids want to be active and it's fun. Most get to travel and go places they never dreamed. The two best teachers ever. They both will go down in history. When you say Crenshaw High School you gonna always think of Mrs. Stevenson and Mr. Traver. Thank you both for being great teachers.
