Keep The Sea Star In Oceanside

I have worked at the Harbor over 42 years ago, worked on the Tortuga. Also worked on the bait docks, I have come back several times and believe the Sea Star to be a great asset to the Harbor.

Please keep it in Oceanside this is part of the community and its history.

It would be a travesty for Oceanside and us all if the Sea Star should be forced to leave our fine harbor! It would be like losing the Harbor Fish n Chips!!!!

I've gone out with good friends from our church for last 3 years with Captain Joe and his crew, Steve, Cain and couple others over the years. All these guys are good , honest and happy and willing to help you catch fish and create an experience on the water than you will totally enjoy,,

Joe and his boat are a shining star at that landing. Helgren's operation is literally decades behind those in Mission Bay and Point Loma. Very poorly run and promoted

Hi, I am Kellie, I have been in the Sea Star since before I could walk. The Sea Star has been the best fishing Boat I have been on and they always treat you well and we are like family now. I go on the Sea Star many times a year and I am about to go on it in 2 weeks and my friends always enjoy it. Steve is a fabulous chef and the deckhands always are right next to you and helping you if you need it. Their boat is very clean especially since it is a fishing boat. Captain Joe always talks about the ocean and marine life and has taught me many things. It would be very sad and unfortunate if the Sea Star was kicked out of the harbor because they are a quality, family oriented operation. So please give your support to them staying in operation in Oceanside Harbor.

Know Capt. Joe for most of my life. A true professional. Glad to be able to support him and hope that the City of Oceanside understands how much he has brought to the community. The Oceanside Harbor would suffer a terrible loss if the Sea Star was no longer able to be there.

Captain Joe provides an excellent and professionally run Sport fishing Business in Oceanside. He not only takes out fishing charters but also does ocean classrooms for the local school districts. One of the most important aspects of his business is the dignified Funerals at Sea that he provides for the many Armed Forces Veterans and their families. Please keep the Sea Star in Oceanside. It would be a true loss for the City of Oceanside if the business is forced to relocate.

Captain Joe and the Sea Star are an integral part of Oceanside and represent the best Oceanside has to offer. Helgren's is a disgrace and their operation gives a bad name to Oceanside. The boats are run down and they don't really seem to care about their customers. If you want a good image for Oceanside, keep Captain Joe and the Sea Star!!!!
