The Sea Star is a valuable asset to the City of Oceanside, the Oceanside Harbor and to all who have had the experience of being out on the Sea Star with Capt. Joe and crew. We cannot allow anyone or anything to take the Sea Star from us. Please Save the Sea Star!

Shame that money trumps doing the right thing.

I have been fishing with Joe for 35 years. My grandsons learned how to fish on Joe's boat. He sets a fine example for everyone. Clean boat, follows regulations, He operates his business in a superior manner and will do the same running the operations for the harbor.

Captain Joe is exceptional. I have fished with him and his very professional crew for the past several years and my grandson has enjoyed fishing with him while attending YMCA summer camps. Please keep him in Oceanside.

I've fished with Joe for many years and he is the best. He runs a superior operation with a great crew. He knows the north county fishing grounds like no one else. He always gets his charters on fish and always protects the ocean's assets. If a fish is under size or illegal to catch, the fish is always cared for and released. His work with the local groups to get young kids involved with fishing is terrific. Thanks Captain Joe.

Family fishing trips on the Sea Star are a tradition for our family. We would be heart broken if we lost the opportunity to continue these wonderful trips with the family.

I've been fishing with friends I worked with for almost 30 years on the Seastar. Now most are retired and bring grandchildren. We all look forward to our trips 2 or 3 times a year. Captain Joe Cacciola is the best. He's a great host, giving his all to make our fishing trips the best they can be. Joe has taught us to respect and take care of the ocean. We've witnessed him mentoring his deckhands. Some have become captains themselves. Captain joe and the SeaStar are the best asset your Marina has. Get Helgren's to bring their operation up to Joe Cacciola's standards and you'll have a great Marina.

I have enjoyed outings on the Sea Star for over 20 years. Captain Joe and his team are the reason we drive over from Arizona to enjoy fishing trips. Generations of my fellow coworkers families have enjoyed Captain Joe's hospitality and in many cases took their first fishing trip on the Sea Star. I encourage the powers that be to select Captain Joe as the vendor so we can enjoy these trips for years to come

Both my daughter and I have fished on the sea star. Esther took her first parent free fishing trip on it 3 years ago. Joe and his deckhands were amazing at making her comfortable and we still have her first yellowtail tail taxidermied on her wall. A great oceanside treasure should not be lost to the bigger fish.

Been chartering the SeaStar for 30 yrs. Our family is on our third generation. I've chartered many boats over the yrs. It is the class of the field. It is a credit to the city of Oceanside. Without the Sea Star the landing will miss out as well as the city.

The Sea Star has been very important to children in Oceanside by having classrooms at sea. Burials at sea are another important feature the Sea Star performs. The boat is truly an asset to the Oceanside Harbor.

I've worked with Capt. Joe on the Oceanside Sea Center project and know that he has made a major contribution to introducing our young people to marine science. The Sea Star belongs in Oceanside.
