I have known Captain Joe of the Sea Star for 25 years. For those 25 years I have organized many trips on his boat for groups of local firefighters. Joe has always treated us in high regard. He goes the extra mile for us and his boat represents Oceanside with honor.

Capt Joe is an awesome man of the sea!! He has dedicated his life to his community and love of the sea!!

The sea star and captain joe deserve better than this.

There is no one who runs a finer sportfishing operation along the coast than Capt. Joe Cacciola of the Sea Star. That, along with the traditions of providing burial-at-sea services and on-the-water marine science education classes for kids has established the Sea Star as a multi-faceted public service "institution" that should be preserved at all costs for its valuable contribution to the coastal community of Oceanside and beyond.

Need to keep the ones that are there for the people like Joe Helgrens needs to get Joey out of there he running everyone off

Sounds like sibling greed

I have worked for Helgrens. They are the most corrupted landing on the west coast.

5/5/17 dump Helgren's. Oceanside does not need that greed and negativity. This happens all too often when the "old man" passes. No one's word is credible any longer.

My organs are being donated ,and I wish to use this company. Please let them stay so they can bring comfort to people in there time that they need

I may not live there any longer, but I did grow up there. I remember taking fishing trips on her with my father as a boy. When I was stationed back home in 2002-2005, I took my family out on her. It's a shame that greed has taken over instead of common sense and love for the community.

I have had the unique pleasure for 20 years of great memories on the Sea Star with Joe Caciola. It's time to dump Helgren's! This year on Memorial Day the only charter boat to leave the harbor was the Sea Star! Go figure!

This is the most professional charter boat I have been on!! The crew is top notch and Captain Joe always gets on the fish!! Sounds like the Helgrens are a little jealous of the better performing Sea Star. The Sea Star is integral part of the O Side community and is always catering to special intrest groups such as the local churches and the handicapped community among others. Oceanside will have a great loss if the Sea Star Can not continue to service our community!!! KEEP THE SEA STAR IN OCEANSIDE HARBOR!!!!!
