I have spent the last few days drafting a formal brief for the Faculty of Medicine regarding the architectural importance of keeping the collection unified. We have received requests for comment from two university publications and I am currently coordinating those interviews to ensure our position on the Osler legacy remains clear.

The administration has acknowledged the volume of signatures and requested a formal meeting to discuss the proposed relocation plans. I am currently drafting a briefing document that details how splitting the collection violates the original terms of the Osler gift.

KEEP THE COLLECTION INTACT. Dont ruin a historical treasure just to save a few bucks on a spreadsheet. Total disgrace.
This is absurd. The Osler collection is famous for a reason and keeping it together is literally the whole point of sir williams gift. Leave it alone.
Ridiculous idea. Once you split a collection like this it never gets back together. Stop trying to fix what isn't broken.
Studied there during my residency. Taking it apart destroys the atmosphere that makes the library unique. McGill needs to rethink this immediately.
So sad to see history being treated like clutter. The Osler library should be preserved in its original location as intended.

Fix the budget somewhere else if you have to just stay away from the library.
