For many years the Cruiser Olympia has remained a historical monument. It serves as the last surviving battleship from the Spanish-American War. Led by Commodore Dewey to victory, the Olympia stands as a symbol of America’s victory. Today, due to a lack of funding, the ship is on the verge of destruction. Without the appropriate funds touring of the Olympia will cease on November 22 and on a future date the Olympia will be sunken and made into a reef. The Olympia must be saved as it will forever remain a symbol of America’s victory.
